How it works:
Spitfire combines the use and durability of a fire poker with the air blowing functionality of a traditional bellows. The center portion of the tool is a hollow steel tube that the user blows through to create a concentrated oxygen blast to the fire. The effect is immediate and a darn sight to see. The user looks as if they are literally breathing fire, turning a once small flame into a roaring blaze in seconds. From there, the Spitfire’s signature two-pronged design allows you to manipulate the contents of your fire to your heart’s content. The tips of prongs have a precise break (bend) making them perfect for the rolling of logs. We found the optimal width between the tines to be 3.5’’. Wide enough to wedge and move split logs and narrow enough to still fit into the apex of the fire when stoking.
Where it’s made:
Manufactured in the Appalachian village of Ripley Ohio by the some of the finest welders in the world!
Construction:
Each Spitfire is made entirely of powder-coated, cold rolled, carbon steel! The tines of the spitfire are laser cut and welded to the end of the barrel with care and precision. The center tip of the Spitfire is where the end of the barrel has undergone our press molding process. Once completed the now refined spitfire tip throttles airflow, optimizing each breath for maximum effectiveness and minimal effort.
